Why this exists
Club soccer asks parents to make big decisions with an incomplete map.
Families are often asked to choose teams, accept roster offers, evaluate league names, manage travel costs, and make development decisions without a clear explanation of how the system works.
The result can be confusion: parents chase a badge before understanding the coach, accept a roster spot before understanding the role, or spend thousands of dollars before seeing the full commitment.
Club Soccer Compass offers a calmer decision framework. It does not rank clubs or push every player toward the most expensive pathway. It helps families understand fit, development, opportunity, and timing.

Club Soccer Compass was created by Ben Ossei-Akoannor, who has spent more than 30 years in the soccer environment as a player, coach, parent, and soccer operations leader.
Through years of working with players, parents, teams, and club programs, Ben saw the same challenge repeat: families wanted to make the right decision for their child, but faced unfamiliar league names, tryout pressure, roster uncertainty, cost questions, and conflicting advice.
This site gives parents a practical way to evaluate fit, development, role, pathway, and opportunity before committing to a team or club environment.
